EPA-Certified Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Renovator

Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children.

To protect against this risk, on April 22, 2008, EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning April 22, 2010, EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices.

USGBC LEED Accredited Professional

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. Building Performance Professionals adheres to these established guidelines, so you are assured techniques and solutions are applied to all aspects of your projects.

As a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) we have completed the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI)'s stringent, industry-leading exam and, per GBCI's standards, continue to take classes to maintain certification and to stay up to date on the latest trends in green building.
